From Lucele Coutts, one of Unity Community Church's members-at-large.
I seem to be going in circles again, good ones, turning out one project after another, even returning to an unfinished basket that finally had driven me into a sculptural corner. But when I returned to it recently, the problems seemed to disappear, turning out surprisingly well.
Yet my sculptural clay activities had been a steady flow, until a newspaper photograph of a great horned owl intrigued me.
She is a special bird who made her way into a woodsy area north of where we live, and she was friendly in a non-owl-like way with a local rancher, who finally protected her by carrying her to a special place near Scottsdale, where she now lives a very happy life among humans.
Finally deciding to copy her in clay it has not been easy, with problems cropping up unexpectedly, but I am working at it.

I knew the lady would be complicated, and though she may not be perfect, I will finish her. I know if I don’t, my inner voice will keep pushing me, as it did in the recent past, when I finally listened, and I headed into this new and joyful and positive life of clay. So I am again putting forth a challenge to you, and she led me to this month’s TIP:
If anything you think you would like to try, but still haven’t, listen for your inner voice, and see what happens when you try. I know you will like the results.
