From Lucele Coutts, one of Unity Community Church's members-at-large.
Since it is time for me to write my last thoughts for this special and precious year, I am looking back, and am amazed at how many things changed for the better. Oh, we took one major step backward, when we both refused to follow our inner voice, but we will not allow it to control our lives now, because it was a lesson well learned. We have blessed the ones involved, and let them go, as we all should do when hurtful events touch our lives.

But I do want to pass on something quite positive from the past, after sneaking a peek at the new Daily Word when it arrived. In it was an article by another Arizona woman, who mentioned she was introduced to Unity when her mother was pregnant with her, and it made me chuckle. The first time I attended the Unity Church in Sedona after moving here, I was asked how long I had been in Unity, and when I answered, the group gathered around gasped, so I thought I ought to explain.
“You see, when my teenaged father started out as a salesman traveling the U.S., I imagine he must have heard Charles Fillmore speak when he visited Kansas City, because he was receiving tracts from Unity long before he married my mother in his very early twenties. My mother immediately grabbed her young husband’s Unity teachings with a passion, choosing a favorite saying whenever trouble arose, especially with me. It was 'All in the hands of the Father,' and it saved her and the rest of us many times over. Like, for example, the time she was coming through the front door from work, and saw five-year-old me (Editor's Note: like the image above!) flying over her head, having missed the upper floor banister, to land safely on the floor in front of her."
TIP: So my tip this month is, find a phrase that really works for you--you may even already have one. Then when you’re alone, repeat it aloud and often enough to seal it so well in your mind that the words are instantly ready. When you need them, they’ll bring positive results, for God is always with you, and is always ready to help.
